I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, however, this title is a bit misleading. While qualified to work with families and married couples, my specific training has focused on offering psychotherapy to adult individuals and couples, married or unmarried.
From the very beginning of my training, I knew I wanted to work with people in private practice as apposed to a hospital or clinic setting. Establishing a trusting, more personal relationship to my clients without being limited by institutional guidelines has always been important to me and allowed me to enjoying offering more individualized therapy catered towards the specific needs of the people I work with.
I am a graduate of the California Institute of Integral Studies where I completed training at the Integral Counseling Center at Pierce Street. I received two years of additional post-graduate training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at Access Institute for Psychological Services where I trained under some of the Bay Area's most renowned clinicians. I have worked in the field for over 11 years and currently run a private practice in Hayes Valley, San Francisco.
